Science Teacher Key Responsibilities:

As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality science lessons that inspire and engage students from KS3 to KS4. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with SEN.
  • Assessing and evaluating student progress through both formative and summative assessments.
  • Preparing students for exams, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and share best practices.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Supporting extracurricular activities, such as science clubs or field trips, to enrich students' learning experiences.
  • Building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive school community.
  • Continuously engaging in professional development to keep up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and science advancements.
