We are seeking an experienced DT Teacher with a focus on engineering to join our team after the Easter break in April 2025. This role involves teaching up to Key Stage 5 and includes all aspects of planning and marking as expected in a comprehensive teaching role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering education and must possess an up-to-date Health and Safety certificate.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Design and Technology with a focus on engineering to students up to KS5.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through both formative and summative assessments.
- Manage classroom resources and setup to facilitate a practical, hands-on learning environment.
- Maintain student records and provide feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
- Uphold health and safety standards in all activities, ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience as a DT Teacher, specifically with an engineering focus.
- Must have a current Health and Safety certificate.
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum and recent teaching methods.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students in the field of engineering.
