We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Subject Lead to join our team. This is a permanent position ideal for an individual with a passion for geography and a desire to inspire and lead students in their understanding of the world around them.
Day to Day of the Role:- Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging geography curriculum.
- Lead and manage the geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the geography department.
- Organise and manage resources and budget for the geography department.
- Provide professional development opportunities for the geography teaching team.
- Foster a positive learning environment and promote the importance of geographical education.
- Liaise with other subject leads and the senior leadership team to ensure a cohesive educational strategy.
- A degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong track record in teaching geography.
- Experience in leading a subject or department within a school setting.
- Excellent knowledge of the current geography curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate both staff and students.
