We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Subject Lead to join our team. This is a permanent position ideal for an individual with a passion for geography and a desire to inspire and lead students in their understanding of the world around them.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging geography curriculum.
  • Lead and manage the geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the geography department.
  • Organise and manage resources and budget for the geography department.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for the geography teaching team.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and promote the importance of geographical education.
  • Liaise with other subject leads and the senior leadership team to ensure a cohesive educational strategy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong track record in teaching geography.
  • Experience in leading a subject or department within a school setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of the current geography curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate both staff and students.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
