Part-time Housing Officer

Maidstone

Our client based in Maidstone is a property management agency which specialises in providing consultancy, training, and property management services to the housing co-operative sector.

As the Housing Officer you will be responsible for managing and coordinating properties within the client co-operative's portfolio. This includes liaising with management committees and tenants, handling day-to-day issues, ensuring that properties are maintained to a high standard and providing support to co-operative management committees and attending their meetings.

  • Housing Management - Tenancy Management, Co-operative Support, Lettings and Estate Management.
  • Rents - Rent Collection, Arrears Control, Rent Setting, and Service Charges.
  • Maintenance - Reactive & Planned Maintenance, Void Management, Gas Safety, Electrical Checks and assistance with other Health and Safety requirements.
  • Finance - Accountancy, Book-keeping, Payroll, Payments, Budgets & Forecasts, Business Planning and Component Accounting.


To be considered for this role you will need the below:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a housing association or local authority.
  • Knowledge of Co-operative Housing, voluntary management committees or similar is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload.
