- Handle a diverse caseload of Children & Families cases, including complex assessments and care plans.
- Work in line with statutory guidance and local policies for Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and partner agencies to deliver tailored support and positive outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings and key meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with organisational standards.
- Stay up-to-date with legislation, policies, and best practices to inform your work.
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification).
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Completion of the ASYE (if qualified for more than two years).
- Relevant post-qualification experience in Children & Families social work.
- Familiarity with systemic models of practice, such as Signs of Safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for assessments and reports.
- Ability to prioritise, work autonomously, and thrive in a team environment.
- Knowledge of family court proceedings, child development theories, and safeguarding frameworks.
- Emotionally resilient with a commitment to reflective practice and supervision.
- A flexible and proactive approach to managing a dynamic workload.
