  • Manage a varied caseload of children and families, including complex and diverse cases. This will involve conducting assessments, reviews, preparing welfare reports, and attending court as required. All work should meet the needs of the client group in line with the Social Care Capability Framework. The complexity of cases and the level of supervision will depend on your post-qualification experience.

  • Build strong partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and private sector agencies, as well as carers and those with parental responsibility, to ensure positive outcomes for children and their families.

  • Record and maintain accurate information promptly using approved systems, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and reflects the situation accurately.

  • Stay informed on relevant legislation, local policies, and procedures, particularly those related to Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection. Apply this knowledge consistently to ensure high-quality service delivery.

  • Engage in continuous development, attending agreed training courses and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
