Candidates must be competent in the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) at the Social Worker level and adhere to the Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners.
The position requires managing a caseload with reflective supervision, conducting focused assessments, and preparing SMART plans to ensure vulnerable children receive appropriate services.
A salary of $50,000 is offered, and candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in social work.

To work proactively and build relationships with children and families who have been assessed as requiring a statutory intervention using the Signs of Safety practice model

You will be responsible for implementing a child in need or child protection plan with the aim of safely stepping the family down or where required, escalating to legal proceedings

To be competent in all areas of the PCF at Social Worker level and The Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners

Manage a caseload within a framework of appropriate reflective supervision, undertaking focused, analytical assessments, prepare SMART plans and reviews that have clear objectives and outcome measures in order to ensure that all vulnerable children receive a service that reflects the Council's commitment to safeguarding and putting the needs of individual children first.

Demonstrate and model good practice that reflects a commitment to relationship- and strengths-based practice, working collaboratively with children, young people and their families
