Myn is recruiting for our long-term client in the South East of England. We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join the Children & Families team. This role offers an opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children and their families while working in a supportive environment.

The Role
As a Social Worker, you will manage a caseload of varying complexity, assessing and supporting children and families in need. You will work closely with statutory agencies, voluntary organisations, and other partners to ensure positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing Children & Families cases, including assessments, planning, and safeguarding interventions.
  • Writing clear and accurate reports, maintaining records, and attending court when necessary.
  • Collaborating with health, education, and social care teams to develop and review care plans.
  • Keeping up to date with legislation and policies affecting children's services.
  • Participating in training and professional development to enhance your skills.
What Were Looking For Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW/Postgraduate or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in Childrens Social Care, including safeguarding and child protection.
  • Understanding of systemic practice (e.g., Signs of Safety).
  • Strong assessment, mediation, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of family law, fostering, adoption, and child development theories.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
