Lead Embedded Software EngineerMargate (On-Site)£60,000 - £72,000 + Training + Progression + Pension

An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced Embedded/Firmware Engineer to join a global leader in emergency rescue devices, offering excellent professional development and training opportunities.

This company is an engineering-driven business and a recognised leader in the development of safety devices, where you will have the opportunity to see firsthand how their applications save lives in critical conditions.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the technical direction of the product range through research and continuous learning. You will work on the development of cutting-edge emergency devices, from product concept to delivery, as part of a close-knit, and play an important technical leadership role in a multidisciplinary engineering team. Due to working closely with the hardware team and direct hands-on product development, this role is fully office-based.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced embedded/firmware engineer with strong RTOS and bare-metal development experience as well supporting development tools. The right person this role will be a passionate engineer that is looking for a research driven environment, where they can provide technical leadership throughout the product development lifecycle. The right person will be looking to offer technical leaderships and offer support and mentorship to the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced embedded/firmware engineer to join an engineering and research driven team, where you will play an important role in the development of life saving devices.

The Role:*Design and development of embedded firmware*Refine product specification and concepts with key stakeholders and technical team*Provide technical leadership through the whole development lifecycle*Site based in Margate, 5 days a week

The Person:*Strong experience in embedded firmware development*Strong experience in both bare-metal and RTOS development*Research- and engineering-focused mindset*Located within a commutable distance of Margate (Kent), or looking to relocate to the area
