We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant in the Medway area, to provide essential 1-2-1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other learning challenges. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education and demonstrates a commitment to the development and well-being of children.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support on a 1:1 basis for a child who is currently on a reduced timetable. You will also support other children on either a 1:1 or a 1:2 basis during the school day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the child to support their academic, emotional, and social development.
  • Adapt resources and teaching strategies to meet the child's individual needs.
  • Foster a positive and trusting relationship to encourage confidence and engagement in learning.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teacher and parents as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children or supporting individuals with additional needs (preferred).
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • A commitment to helping every child succeed.
