We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a fantastic special needs school in the Maidstone area, supporting secondary-aged students with PMLD. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a nurturing, inclusive environment where you can help students thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-on-one and group support to secondary-aged students with PMLD, assisting with learning and daily tasks.
- Offer personal care, including assistance with toileting and feeding, while ensuring the dignity and well-being of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement personalised education plans (EHCPs) and manage behaviour effectively.
- Create a supportive, safe, and engaging environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.

- The legal right to work in the UK.
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly PMLD, is preferred.
- Ability to provide personal care, including assistance with toileting and feeding, when required.
- Strong communication skills, patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to undergo relevant background checks and obtain clearances.
- Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the update service.
