Role and Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant position:

You will be providing 1-2-1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN), focusing on their individual plan and tailoring your guidance appropriately.
You will be assisting in the development of the child's social, emotional and academic progress ensuring you are creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
You will work closely with the classroom teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to ensure that the child's needs are met and that you are appropriately adapting their activities.
You will help to manage challenging behaviours using established behavioural management strategies to ensure a positive learning experience for all children in the class.
You will encourage independence and self-confidence in the child, supporting their day-to-day tasks and promoting their personal development
