SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity - Secondary-aged pupils (Maidstone)

Are you an organised SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Maidstone!

This full-time position is available for an immediate start. Although it begins as a temporary long-term role, it has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

We work with a variety of SEN schools across Maidstone and the surrounding areas, so wherever you're based locally, we encourage you to apply!

The Role Involves:

  • Supporting secondary-aged students with Special Educational Needs, such as ASD, SEMH, and behavioural difficulties
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support
  • Assisting class teachers in preparing and delivering lessons and activities
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment, including assisting with classroom tasks and resources
  • Supervising students during school trips and activities
  • Rephrasing instructions, providing repetition, and offering guidance to help students engage fully with their learning
