Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-Time Term Time Only
Location: Maidstone , Kent
Salary: 85-100 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support to children with a range of SEN needs, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum.
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating engaging learning experiences.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence.
  • Monitoring and recording progress, and supporting the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children with SEN in an educational or similar setting.
  • A strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support them effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children.
  • The right to work in the UK (please note that we cannot provide visa sponsorship).


Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support.
  • Enhanced Child work force DBS or willing to apply
