Complex needs - ASD and Asperger's11 to 19 years old - mixed gender

The Role:

As an SEN Teacher in Medway, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and support students with a variety of learning needs. You'll design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse abilities within your classroom. Working collaboratively with a dedicated team, you'll create personalised learning plans, track progress, and provide consistent support to ensure each student thrives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver English lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported and respected.
  • Work closely with parents, colleagues, and external agencies to create effective learning plans.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with school policies.
  • Engage in professional development to refine your SEN teaching skills.
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English to students with SEN
  • Strong knowledge of strategies to support various learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
  • Enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Full right to work in the UK
