Are you an experienced SENCO looking for a new challenge? A dedicated SEN-only secondary school in Chatham is seeking a resilient and passionate SENCO to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a setting that supports students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role:- Lead on SEN provision across the school, ensuring the best outcomes for students with moderate SEN.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide high-quality support for pupils.
- Support behaviour management strategies and foster a positive learning environment.
- Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and maintain effective EHCP processes.
- A qualified teacher with QTS and relevant SEN experience.
- Previous experience as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role within an SEN setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work in a challenging environment.
- A resilient, proactive, and solution-focused approach - someone who can take things on the chin and remain positive.
- Work in a "Good" Ofsted-rated school dedicated to supporting SEN pupils.
