Supply Teacher (SEND)

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school located near Ashford. This role is ideal for a generalist teacher who is comfortable covering English and has a passion for working with 14-16 year olds with SEND needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across various subjects, with a focus on English.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate lessons.
- Monitor and support the progress and development of students.
- Handle any classroom challenges with sensitivity and assertiveness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in an SEND environment is highly desirable.
- Alternatively, substantial experience as a teacher with demonstrated empathy and understanding for students with SEND needs.
- Ability to drive, as commuting to the school may require a car.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
