Trusts Fundraiser - Prestigious National Charity - Kent / Hybrid - up to £45k

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Trusts Fundraiser to join a prestigious national charity in their offices in Kent.

With proven success in fundraising in the not for profit sector or experience of commercial research and writing/reporting, you will work across multiple projects securing grants, from seed funding to regional appeals.

In a nutshell: we’re looking for a passionate fundraiser, ideally with an Institute of Fundraising Certificate/Diploma (not a pre-requisite), who has proven success of personally securing income through fundraising, is ambitious for success and has a demonstrable passion for the sector.

Key responsibilities as the Trusts Fundraiser will include:

  • Maintaining a portfolio of existing trusts and foundations
  • Proactively identifying and researching new prospective trust funders and finding creative ways to engage with them to secure support
  • Creating compelling and tailored fundraising applications and reports
  • Supporting the highest levels of donor care for supporters
  • Researching, interpreting and presenting data
  • Supporting with bid presentations
  • Maintaining accurate records and information about all applications
  • Updating CRM database (Raiser’s Edge)
  • Networking externally with potential project partners, funders and statutory bodies
  • Representing the charity at internal and external events

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a fundraising role in the not for profit sector and/or experience of commercial research and commercial writing and reporting
  • Institute of Fundraising Certificate/Diploma is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships at all levels
  • Proven success personally securing income through fundraising
  • Proven networking skills
  • Ability to compile compelling and accessible applications, reports, papers and management information
  • Good business and financial acumen and ability to present financial information accurately
  • IT literate including MS Office, with knowledge of fundraising/CRM databases
  • Passion for the charity / not for profit sector
