My Kent based not for profit client is looking for a Procurement and Contracts Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. Working in a stand alone role, the position will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to ensure the contract and procurement functions operate in line with the organisations objectives and add value, cost savings and efficiencies.
As the Procurement and Contracts Manager your role will involve:
- Maintain an up-to-date contracts register for the organisation that will identify upcoming contract renewals.
- Lead and manage the Procurement function to deliver appropriate support to the organisation to ensure both corporate and business development objectives are met.
- Develop and implement a strategy to ensure the procurement function operates in line with the organisations objectives to add value and deliver cost savings
- Create, Implement and promote a strong framework for contract management
- Manage all steps of the procurement and tendering process to ensure best value for money is achieved and all risks are identified and mitigated.
This role requires a hands on procurement professional who is MCIPA qualified and who has strong contract management experience as well as knowledge of public sector procurement and the new public sector regulations that are being introduced. You will need to be able to build strong stakeholder relationships and also develop the function in order to add value and deliver cost savings.
This is a permanent role paying £50,000-£60,000 with 2 days a week in the Kent office.
