Polymer  Technician – Kent

As the Polymer Technician you will be working on the development and improvement of material formulations, with a focus on polymers. You will also  be responsible for assisting in the creation of new processes and supporting ongoing product innovations, including compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

To be considered for the Polymer Technician position you will have a HNC or higher in Chemistry or a related field – a focus on Polymer Science is preferred. You will also have a good understanding of Polymer Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing new material formulations and processes in coordination with internal teams.
  • Work with colleagues to expand product capabilities and explore new solutions.
  • Support the investigation of ways to enhance existing formulations and adapt to market trends.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support to resolve challenges.
  • Evaluate materials to optimise performance, cost, and sustainability.
  • Participate in material preparation processes and handle related testing protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in a technical or material development role.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality management systems is beneficial.
  • HNC or higher in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Polymers.
