Vibe Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable automotive service provider, looking for a skilled and reliable MOT Tester/Mechanic to join their team in the Maidstone area. About the Role:
As an MOT Tester/Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles, diagnosing faults, and carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy and meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MOT tests on cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles are in top condition.
- Provide customers with clear and accurate advice on repairs, maintenance, and MOT results.
- Maintain high standards of workshop cleanliness and safety.
- Keep detailed records of work completed, including MOT tests, repairs, and any parts used.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workshop.
Ideally, You Will Have:
- Full MOT Tester qualification (Class 4 and 7).
- Proven experience as a Mechanic, with strong diagnostic skills and a solid understanding of vehicle repair and maintenance.
- A valid driving licence.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and MOT testing procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and keeping customers informed about the work carried out.
- Attention to detail and a passion for the automotive industry.
