Join Our Team as a Personal Assistant!

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Personal Assistant to support our General Service Manager at our Head Office in Maldon. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant team that values excellence and innovation

Role Purpose:

As a Personal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day administration of the Service departments across all 21 sites. Your contributions will ensure seamless operations, and you will also provide assistance to the Warranty department as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the General Service Manager, including drafting memos, letters, emails, and taking minutes of meetings.
  • Oversee the recruitment process for Service Apprentices, collaborating with HR, Service Managers, and local colleges.
  • Foster excellent communication between yourself, branch Service Managers, and Service Administrators, offering support when required.
  • Prepare letters and mail merge documents as needed.
  • Organise travel, accommodation, and courses for the General Service Manager and Service staff.
  • Update and maintain in-house training records in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Assist the Warranty team with administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Ensure the General Service Manager's online calendar is up to date, coordinating interviews and meetings effectively.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with strong skills in minute-taking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently, remaining calm under pressure.
  • A flexible and approachable attitude, with a self-motivated nature and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Discretion in handling confidential matters is a must.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a keen attention to detail.
  • A professional and tidy appearance is essential.

Additional Information:

Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)Benefits: 24 days Annual Leave (plus bank holidays), Company Sick Pay Scheme, Workplace Pension, Staff Discount in Country Stores, and Death in Service Cover (2x salary).
