Temp-to-Perm | 16/hr | 30 Hours/Week | Factory Operative | Own Transport Required
We are thrilled to partner with a leading food manufacturer based on the outskirts of Maldon, Essex, to offer an excellent opportunity for a Factory Operative.
This role involves physical work and requires dedication and energy. The position starts as a temporary role for the first 3 months, with the potential for permanent employment with our client after that period.
Please note, due to the location, you will need your own transport to get to work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate factory machinery
- Perform visual quality checks on products
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and site guidelines
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation
- Use pallet trucks and pump trucks for material handling
- Set up and adjust production machinery
- Carry out heavy manual tasks as part of the daily operations
Hours & Pay:
- 5 days a week, Monday-Sunday (flexible shifts available)
- Shifts will include at least one day over the weekend
- Typical hours: 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM (subject to change)
- 16.00 per hour

The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production is preferred
- Must be able to read and write in English (Maths and English assessment required)
- Comfortable with manual, physical tasks
- Counterbalance forklift certification is a plus
- Own transport is essential due to location
- Flexible and willing to work overtime if needed
