Food Manufacturing Operative - Temp to Perm - 16ph - 30 Hours Per Week - Own Transport Required

We are delighted to be working with a prestigious food manufacturer located in the Essex countryside, between Maldon and Tolleshunt D'Arcy.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the first three months working through Prime Appointments before transitioning to a permanent position.



Job Details:

  • Hourly Rate: 16.30ph
  • Hours: 6:30 am to 12:30 pm, 5 days a week (fixed days, may include a weekend day)
  • Flexibility: Shifts may change in the future
  • Location: Own transport required due to location


Food Manufacturing Operative Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery efficiently and safely
  • Perform visual quality checks on products
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and site processes
  • Complete production paperwork accurately
  • Operate pallet and pump trucks
  • Set up and adjust production machinery
  • Perform heavy, physical production tasks
  • Maintain housekeeping and hygiene standards
  • Ensure personal and team health and safety compliance


Food Manufacturing Operative Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Manufacturing and Production preferred
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Valid counterbalance forklift license is an advantage
  • Own transport required
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive "can-do" attitude
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • Flexible and adaptable to shift changes
