Our client, a leading distribution company, is seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operator to join their team in Maldon, UK. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining a safe and organised warehouse, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a forklift driver, you will be responsible for carrying out various warehouse-related tasks while adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's operations.

Working Monday - Friday 8am-4.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and communicate potential risks in the warehouse area to ensure the safety of all team members.
  • Report near misses promptly and use the red card system when required.
  • Conduct behavioural-based safety observations to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working area in line with our client's 6s culture, including following the 100% clear aisle policy.
  • Perform equipment safety checks, such as inspecting forklifts, racking, and ramps.
  • Receive deliveries accurately and complete the booking-in process as per standard operating procedures.
  • Process customer returns efficiently and in accordance with SOPs.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Operator or a similar role.
  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritising work effectively.
