Production Manager / Maufacutring Manager / Ops Management

Production Manager needed to join a reputable and long-standing manufacturing company based in Maldon.

The ideal candidate will have worked within a similar position, within the electronics sector or a comparable sector.

As the Production Manager, you will lead the manufacturing team to ensure the seamless processing of customer orders. You will oversee daily production activities, ensuring output, while driving efficiency and performance across the department.

Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. This will include staff onboarding, probation reviews, and performance appraisals. Actively participating in creating a safe and positive work environment, acting with a high sense of trust and integrity.

Production Planning & Coordination: Plan and monitor production schedules to ensure adequate staffing, equipment availability. Leverage throughput and capacity planning to manage production flow and ensure timely shipping of orders.

Quality Assurance & Performance Management: Operate within the Quality Management System (QMS), working in partnership with QA on technical and quality-related matters. Analyse and present production data using metrics such as OTTP (On-Time to Promise) and OTTR (On-Time to Request).

Operational Excellence: Monitor daily outputs and activities to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks. Ensuring all production activities are executed within defined timelines.

Key Skills, Experience & Background

  • Experience in within an Electronics assembly, test, or component packaging environment
  • Familiar with ISO-compliant manufacturing frameworks and quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across all levels.
  • You will be a constructive leader, who leads by example - hands on, hardworking
  • Solid communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to create an environment of trust and respect.
  • You will be open minded, resilient and customer focus
