Site Manager - Listed & Period Buildings
Location: Maldon, Essex
Salary: Competitive, open to negotiation based on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Holiday: 22 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee a skilled construction team, providing direction and leadership on-site.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the client and on-site teams, ensuring clear communication and a smooth process from start to finish.
- Cost & Budget Management: Monitor project costs, track spending, and ensure budgets are adhered to.
- Material Management: Manage the ordering and delivery of materials, ensuring everything is in place for the job to be done efficiently.
- Heritage Conservation: Oversee the maintenance and repair of listed buildings, ensuring all works comply with heritage regulations.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and carry out repair and refurbishment works to maintain high site standards.
- Contractor Coordination: Liaise with external contractors for specialised works on listed buildings, ensuring heritage conservation practices are followed while keeping disruption to a minimum.
- Fire Safety & Emergency Equipment: Oversee fire safety protocols, ensuring alarms, equipment, and emergency lighting are always in top condition.
- Energy Efficiency: Monitor energy usage across the site, from heating to lighting to water, and identify opportunities for improving efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in managing construction sites, with listed buildings or heritage conservation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients and contractors effectively.
- Knowledge of building regulations, particularly related to listed buildings.
- Proactive approach to repairs, maintenance, and emergency situations.
- Ability to stay organised and ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
