Job Purpose

This is a homebased role with occasional travel for team meetings to Reading. This college is all about developing their staff to allow them to grow their skills set and progress within the business. If you’re looking for a change and have a good understanding of Apprenticeship funding rules then this could be the role for you.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Alongside a some understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework, you must have strong and proven experience of successful quality monitoring and assurance against a ESFA funding regulations.
  • A can-do and upbeat attitude to work, colleagues, clients and learners.
  • A self-starter and self-manager who can get things done and work systematically and thoroughly
  • Supporting learners during the sign-up process.
  • An inquisitive mind, able to find things out and problem solve.
  • Solutions focussed with detailed attention to both the outcomes and the inputs to secure them with integrity and standards that mirror those of the business - where people and success matter
  • A person who wants to make a difference
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise well and work at speed
  • A good communicator who listens well, can explain things clearly and presents information in a simple and coherent way
  • Good attention to detail with a "get things right first" approach
  • Good at partnership working and being part of a team with the same goal and outlook
  • A natural completer finisher, with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Able to use judgement and escalate issues as and when required
  • A confident user of IT
  • Experience of working with the Skills Funding Agency or other Government funded programmes
  • Working knowledge and experience of other external quality kite marks such as Matrix and Investors in People an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely quality data reports, comprehensive way and one that enables improvement
  • Be able to self-manage, setting clear priorities and absorb a substantial amount of work in a comprehensive and efficient way
  • Update systems in real time and with clear and comprehensive information
  • Keep up to date with funding regulations
  • Ultimately be judged on the number and quality of monitoring you deliver as well as the standards of teaching and learning across the provider.
