A large shipping company is seeking an European Road Freight Operator to join their team.
The salary for this position ranges from £30,000 to £33,000.
Candidates should have experience handling imports and exports to and from Europe, including groupage shipments and full loads.
Strong customer service skills and a good telephone manner are essential for the role.
Brokering experience within road freight is advantageous for applicants.

A large shipping company looking for an European Road Freight Operator, within their team.

Salary £30-33k

Main duties:

* Handling imports and exports to and from Europe, from groupage shipments, part / full loads and express vans

* Liaising with customers and suppliers daily, ensuring shipments are running according to schedules

* Liaising closely with their customs dept. ensuring paperwork is accurate and clear instructions provided. Once received, supplying the customs paperwork to the relevant parties.

* Good telephone manner and customer service skills is imperative

* Spot quoting customers for shipment requests

* Booking the orders on their system and booking with their suppliers

* Invoicing/supplier invoice passing

* Brokering experience within road freight advantageous
