Thrive Group are recruiting for Despatch Operatives on a temporary-ongoing assignment, with a view to start immediately.

These are full-time positions, working 06:00-15:00, Monday-Friday on week 1 and 15:00-00:30, Monday-Thursday and 15:00-19:00 (Friday) on week 2 *Weekly Rotational*. This position pays £11.50-£14.37 per hour and is located in Malmesbury.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Ensure that picking and shipping output and quality is maximised whilst promoting and driving forward health and safety and behavioural standards to the highest possible levels.
  • Ensure products are picked correctly and efficiently according to the order form and productivity is maximised.
  • Ensure all products are clean and free from damage.
  • Ensure adherence to any company policies and Standard Operating Procedures set out by the company, ensuring you display and encourage a positive attitude towards both Despatch and companywide goals.
  • Health and Safety - ensure all relevant risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work are signed off, promoting the correct health and safety culture within the Despatch department.
  • Assist the Despatch Supervisor in carrying out regular stock checks to ensure finished product numbers are in line with the ERP system.
  • Follow correct GDPR processes and all paperwork that includes personal data is disposed of correctly.
  • Any dirty or damaged boxes are to be highlighted and reported to the supervisor to ensure they are replaced at the earliest possible convenience.
  • Ensure the careful handling all products.
  • Replenish stock in the despatch warehouse when required, highlighting any stock shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately to ensure this information is passed on to the correct department.
  • Collect stock from the production department as and when required.
  • Prioritise Health & Safety in all areas of operation, ensuring that risk assessments are adhered to, this is including safe systems of work and any training that has been given.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times, ensuring high levels of housekeeping and suggesting improvements wherever possible.
  • Helping with end of day tasks such as, bagging up of parcels, moving cages and pallets into a specific storage area awaiting collection.
  • Assisting with the set-up of the following day, arranging cages as required.
  • Gift-wrapping whenever required.
  • Flexibility to work in other areas of the business as and when required, including other tasks as requested which are not within the scope of your normal activities.
  • Liaising with customer services regarding issues with orders.
