Assistant Head of Housekeeping - Award winning luxury hotel Cotswolds £30,000 OTE, meals on duty

We are delighted to be working with one of the Cotswolds most luxurious hotel Spas. This award winning luxury Manor House hotel is set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, with a Michelin Star restaurant, Spa, Gym, pool and cinema.

We are keen to talk to experienced House keeping Supervisors/Assistant Head of House keeping who are committed to providing exceptional customer service at every step of the client journey.

Position Overview:

Responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager in the effective operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that hotel standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times whilst maintaining a safe working environment. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the housekeeping department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a team, deliver to our guests a total passion and commitment to excellence of cleanliness and detail, driving and maintaining standards of housekeeping and service to the highest level
  • In the absence of the Head Housekeeper, ensure the staff rotas are managed and altered within reason to meet the needs of the business
  • Deliver a high standard of training to staff members and overseeing daily task allocations
  • Provide direction and work alongside the housekeeping team members to ensure that hotel guest rooms, public areas and team member areas are clean, well maintained and adequately stocked.
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and attention to detail in all public areas, spa facilities, rooms and suites by carrying out regular quality checks throughout the day
  • In accordance with business needs carry out tasks such as making beds and assisting with the servicing of guest rooms from time to time
  • May be required to perform other related tasks reasonably requested by your Line Manager

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a luxury or boutique hotel setting.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with a passion for developing staff.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining luxury standards in cleanliness and presentation.
  • Guest Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage schedules, supplies, and quality control simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly address and resolve issues while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety: A solid understanding of housekeeping procedures and health and safety regulations
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of the hotel's operations
  • Good levels of spoken and written English * Coaching skills * Basic IT skills
