iRecruit4 are currently seeking a Factory Manager for our client based on the outskirts of Chippenham. This role is a full time permanent position with fantastic company benefits.

Duties of the Factory Manager:
  • Manage the manufacturing function of the business, ensuring on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • To improve production processes and efficiencies.
  • Reporting to the Managing Director on the day-to-day running of the shop floor.
  • You will be responsible for production planning.
  • Ensuring that shop floor resources are available to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Managing the training program of all shop floor employees, ensuring adequate availability of skills where required.
  • Responsible for conducting annual employee appraisals and formulating scheduled plans for individual improvement.
  • Consulting with the Production Supervisors daily to understand the current workload and allocated resources where they are required to ensure on-time delivery
  • Responsible for shop floor recruitment and employee induction.
  • Creating weekly/monthly plans to ensure that customer delivery dates are met.
  • Collaborate with Owners, Directors, and Production Supervisors to implement new plant and processes.
  • Purchasing of raw materials.
  • Quoting. Assist and advise on preparation of quotations to customers.
  • CAD/Programming. Assistance with the design of new products.
Additional Information:
  • The suitable candidate will need to have a strong background in both the operation and management of fabrication and finishing.
  • The successful candidate must be a skilled engineer, draughtsman, and/or estimator.
  • You may at times be asked to do other work as required by senior management to help with the development of the business. This may involve visits to customers and suppliers both in the UK and overseas.
  • 40 Hours Per Week (Mon-Fri 8.00 to 4.30pm).
  • The role will involve some covering of early morning (6am to 8am) and Saturday morning overtime (6am to 12pm)
  • Salary competitive and negotiable based on previous experience.
