We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client's team outskirts of Scarborough. Engineers transferring from a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment will have a considerable advantage. The site itself is a heavy industrial plant with degree of PLC control machinery and automation, a wide range of materials handling and conveying equipment as well as pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.

Multi Skilled Engineer Responsibilities

  • Electro-mechanical repairs to a PLC-controlled plant, handling and conveying equipment, also pneumatic and hydraulic control systems Maintain plant facilities and services, including compressed air systems.
  • Responsible for a mixture of reactive and pre-planned maintenance on a wide range of production and process machinery.
  • work with suppliers on new machinery upgrades, modifications and installation
  • Input to and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support the operations team in achieving targets and maintaining efficient operations.
  • Reactive Maintenance
  • Pre-planned maintenance - CMMS
  • Installation of machinery
  • Machinery upgrades and modifications

Multi Skilled Engineer Requirements:

  • Trades qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background, with a primary skill focus on electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Aptitude for process awareness and experience in diagnostic/troubleshooting gained in a high-volume environment
  • You must be prepared to be on call 1 week in 4.
