About the Role:

GSL Education is currently looking for an experienced Religious Education Teacher for a School in North Yorkshire, on a part-time timetable. You should be an enthusiastic RE Teacher who has a real passion for teaching and can be innovative and engaging in your teaching style.

A coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in a market town in North Yorkshire. With a history dating back over 400 years, the school combines traditional values with a modern approach to education. It offers a broad curriculum for students aged 11 to 18, emphasizing academic excellence, personal development, and community engagement. The school promotes a nurturing environment, providing a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and STEM opportunities. The School is known for its strong focus on pastoral care and preparing students for both higher education and future careers.

As the successful Religious Education Teacher, you will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a PGCE, GTP, BEd, Cert Ed or BA with QTS, and have recent experience of working as a Religious Education Teacher in the UK.
  • Be able to teach KS3 and KS4 RE and Citizenship, and KS5 Religion and Philosophy.
  • Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
  • Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with all individuals, including pupils, colleagues and parents and carers.
