Your new companyHays Senior Finance are pleased to be working exclusively on a Management Accountant appointment with a lovely SME business based in Malvern. Due to continued growth, the company is looking to add to their accounts team.

Your new roleWorking closely with an experienced Finance Manager, you will act as a key member of the team and take on a varied, supportive role which includes involvement in key operational finance duties.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control activities
  • Cashflow and future income reporting
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring payroll and wages costs
  • Payroll, pension and associated reporting
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • VAT accounting
  • Assisting with management accounts, reporting and year-end
  • Assisting with the production of KPIs

What you'll need to succeed

  • AAT qualified or QBE
  • Proven finance experience in an SME setting (agriculture/FMCG/supply chain highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of key day-to-day accounting principles and procedures
  • Comfortable being hands-on and willing to get stuck in
  • Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • IT literate - proficient with MS Office and working knowledge of Sage Line 50
