Assistant Accountant

Your new companyHays are working closely with a manufacturing company who are based in Malvern. They have a brand-new exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join the team.Your new role

• Reporting to Financial Accountant and supporting a small finance team
• Assisting with sales and purchase ledger issues/reconciliations
• Third party warehouses reconciliations and assisting Inventory Controller with monthly & weekly stock take reconciliations & follow up
• Covering and assisting Inventory Controller, AP Clerk & Finance Assistant when needed
• Assisting with month end accounts preparation and journals
• Overseeing Accruals and prepayments
• Maintaining Cap-Ex project ledger
• Assisting with weekly expenses review
• Stock adjustment reconciliations.
• Assisting setting up new product recipes
• Weekly Production order analysis
• Preparing management accounts for a small sister company
• Involvement year-end audit

What you'll need to succeed

• Preferably manufacturing experience
• Experience working in a finance team assisting with month end reporting.
• Advanced excel skills
• Dynamic character
• The ability to pick up purchase ledger duties when needed.
