Role Overview

We are excited to be recruiting for a leading business based close to Great Malvern who specialise in critical components manufacturing. Due to growth within the business, our client are now seeking additional CNC Operators to join the existing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Setter/ Operator to develop their skillset and grow within a technical department which can lead to future career development into offline programming (CAD/CAM) based roles.

Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to provide a specialist CNC milling function to the manufacturing process. The role is accountable forefficiently delivering conforming products on time in full (OTIF) to meet customer commitments. This role supports the continuous improvement of processes and people-centric resolutions to complex, multi-disciplined challenges.

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines, performing precision machining operations, and ensuring the quality and safety of our production processes. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are in place.
  • Operation: Operate CNC mills to manufacture parts according to specifications and drawings.
  • Programming: Load and modify CNC programs as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products against drawings and models to ensure all features are complete.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with CNC machines or the machining process to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality checks.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Paid overtime, normal hourly rate during the week and time and a half on Saturdays
