My client area a specialist manufacturer of bespoke components and they are looking for a Metrology Engineer to join their existing team. As a Metrology Engineer your role will focus on operating the CMM, producing PPAPs and quality inspecting produced product to ensure that it meets the industry standards.

Metrology Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Programming the CMM machine to inspect produced parts
  • Creating inspection and PPAP reports
  • Quality inspecting produced parts to ensure that they meet industry standards
  • Driving the continuous improvement of quality systems and measurement analysis systems
  • Provide technical support to the wider engineering team

Metrology Engineer Requirements;

  • Previous experience in either a Metrology, Quality or CMM based position is essential
  • Experience with 8D, PPAP and ISIR is advantageous
  • Programming CCM experience is a must
  • Experience with Solidworks would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills are a must
  • Must be a team player
