My client area a specialist manufacturer of bespoke components and they are looking for a Metrology Engineer to join their existing team. As a Metrology Engineer your role will focus on operating the CMM, producing PPAPs and quality inspecting produced product to ensure that it meets the industry standards.
Metrology Engineer Responsibilities:
- Programming the CMM machine to inspect produced parts
- Creating inspection and PPAP reports
- Quality inspecting produced parts to ensure that they meet industry standards
- Driving the continuous improvement of quality systems and measurement analysis systems
- Provide technical support to the wider engineering team
Metrology Engineer Requirements;
- Previous experience in either a Metrology, Quality or CMM based position is essential
- Experience with 8D, PPAP and ISIR is advantageous
- Programming CCM experience is a must
- Experience with Solidworks would be beneficial but not essential
- Excellent communication skills are a must
- Must be a team player
