We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to oversee and manage a SEND provision for a school in Worcestershire. A successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students with additional needs, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure that every child receives tailored support to thrive academically and socially.Key Responsibilities:* Lead and manage the SEND department, ensuring the school's SEND provision is inclusive and effective.* Coordinate the identification, assessment, and support for students with SEND, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with legal requirements.* Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provision maps for students with SEND.* Work closely with teachers and support staff to provide guidance and strategies for differentiated learning.* Liaise with parents, external agencies, and professionals to ensure appropriate interventions and resources are in place.* Ensure that SEND resources and support services are appropriately allocated and monitored.* Provide training and professional development to staff on SEND best practices and legislation.* Monitor and track the progress of students with SEND and implement strategies to close achievement gaps.* Promote a positive, inclusive school culture where students with SEND are fully integrated into all aspects of school life.We are looking for someone who has:* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a SENCO qualification (or willingness to obtain one).* Experience working as a SENCO or in a similar role within an educational setting.* In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, frameworks, and best practices.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, staff, and external agencies.* Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.* A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with students with diverse needs.* A commitment to inclusion and the belief that all children can succeed.If you believe you are right for the role…Please apply now!Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
