Head of Year Vacancy - Secondary School in Blackley

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Year to join our secondary school in Blackley. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the pastoral care and academic progress of our students.

  • Position: Head of Year
  • Location: Blackley
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Salary: Up to £120 per day
  • Contract: Ongoing with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the year group to ensure high standards of pastoral care and student wellbeing
  • Support and mentor students through academic, personal, and social development
  • Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and senior leadership to monitor and improve student progress
  • Organize year group activities and manage any behavioral concerns
  • Help implement school policies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working in a leadership role within a secondary school (Head of Year experience is desirable)
  • Strong understanding of student welfare and the challenges students face
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students and staff alike
