Company Accountant
Manchester (office based)
£45-60k depending on experience
Dynamic and innovative scientific business based in Manchester, dedicated to advancing scientific research and development are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team.
This is an exciting, hands-on new position that offers the opportunity to work closely with our UK Managing Director and collaborate with our US and European entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- VAT returns, tax, and statutory reporting.
- Implement and optimise financial systems and processes.
- Xero accounting software and assist in the transition to MS Dynamics.
- Liaison and main point of contact for external auditors
Ideal Candidate:
- Relevant experience working for a US-owned business.
- Proficiency in US GAAP and UK Tax regulations
- Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience with relevant experience
- Strong systems skills including Xero and MS Dynamics would be advantageous
- Full right to work in the UK with no restrictions.
