Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior

We are currently looking for an Accounts and Audit Semi-Senior capable of completing assignments from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Person Specification: The ideal candidate will be ACCA or ACA qualified/part qualified or qualified by experience, with a minimum of three years’ proven practice experience within a small to medium-sized practice. You will be IT proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.

With experience in the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, you will also have a basic knowledge of tax compliance issues. Experience in audit work, preparation of cashflow forecasts, business plans, and the preparation of management accounts is advantageous. You should be capable of completing assignments from start to finish with minimal supervision.

In addition:

  • You’ll be a team player with a passion for your profession and excellent interpersonal, planning, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to impress and work well with our clients is key.
  • A full clean driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing management accounts and year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Liaising with clients generally to resolve queries
  • Ensuring all assignments are completed within the allocated budget and to deadlines
  • Drafting Corporation Tax computations and liaising with our tax department
