Ascent Recruitment is pleased to exclusively support a logistics business based in Manchester City Centre, looking for an Assistant Management Accountant, with logistics, or fleet experience.
The role focuses on supporting monthly management accounts, with responsibility for accurate fleet cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:-
- Analyse fleet spend (hire, fuel, repairs, insurance, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date fleet records across sites
- Post weekly/monthly fleet journals
- Stakeholder management with finance and non-finance
- Support budgeting and variance analysis
- Liaise with depots and AP for accurate cost allocation
- Manage accruals, prepayments, and fleet logs
- Identify process improvements
Ideal Profile:
- AAT qualified, or studying CIMA/ACCA
- Fleet/logistics experience,
- Strong Excel & accounting knowledge
- Analytical, organised, and detail-driven
- Confident communicator across all levels
