Description
- Lead and manage a portfolio of audit clients across various industries
- Drive business development initiatives and identify new client opportunities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the audit practice's growth
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships through exceptional service delivery
- Provide technical leadership and quality assurance on complex audit engagements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm methodologies
- Manage engagement economics including billing, collections, and profitability
- Mentor, coach, and develop audit staff and managers
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements
- Represent the firm at industry events and in the broader business community
- Collaborate with partners across service lines to deliver integrated solutions to clients
- Lead risk management processes and maintain audit quality standards
- Stay current with evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes
- Participate in firm management and governance as required
- Drive innovation in audit methodologies and digital audit capabilities
- Manage and resolve complex technical accounting and auditing issues
- Provide strategic insights and value-added recommendations to clients
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client organisations
- Contribute to the firm's culture and values
- Demonstrate ethical leadership and professional integrity in all interactions
- Manage partner-level relationships with regulatory bodies and standard setters
Profile
A successful Audit Partner should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Experience in developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Experience in contributing to business strategy from a financial perspective.
- Proven track record in business growth and development - this is key.
