Job Purpose
  • Support the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead onsite audit teams to deliver quality audit fieldwork, ensuring budgets and deadlines are met
  • Maintain confidentiality as a Data Processor in accorance with GDPR
  • Identify potential problems and areas of risk to scope out solutions
  • Review statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and returns
  • Take responsibility for individual assignments to ensure effective and timely delivery
  • Converse clearly and effectively by using computer software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Manage own workload and regularly update managers with work progress
  • Support junior staff by reviewing work and knowledge sharing
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
  • Champion your own professional development, proactively learning from the experienced team
  • Support the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA / ACA qualified, finalist or studying
  • Relevant audit experience within practice
  • Solid understanding of UK audit regulations
  • Familiar with automated sampling techiques
  • Proficient at using CCH Accounts and CRONER
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
