A costs draftsperson is required to conduct their own caseload working for this national costs team at a top 50 UK law firm. The role can be based in either Liverpool or Manchester.

Role OverviewThe role involves management of a caseload to include drafting schedules of costs, negotiating settlement, dealing with costs budgets and adverse and recovery costs claims on multi track cases. This role is to support the specialist health division and the litigation they conduct throughout the UK. There are 2-3 vacancies available because of the significant continuing growth of this department.

Candidate ProfileThe firm is seeking and costs draftsperson with the following experience/characteristics:

  • Proven experience handling your own caseload. The job requires someone who can predominantly work autonomously.
  • Must have experience drafting points of dispute, points of reply, costs budgets and bills of costs.
  • IT literate.
  • Previous experience of dealing with costs in clinical negligence cases would be ideal, but those with experience in other areas will be considered.
