An established Manchester city centre law firm is seeking an experienced Costs Draftsperson to join their supportive and friendly team.

Requirements

· 3+ years’ experience in costs drafting and negotiation.

· Strong technical knowledge.

· Proven track record in drafting bills of costs, points of dispute/replies, and budgeting.

· Confident negotiator with excellent communication and client care skills.

· Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.

· Highly organised with attention to detail and proficiency in relevant IT and case management systems.

Responsibilities

· Drafting bills of costs for a variety of housing disrepair claims.

· Preparing points of dispute and points of reply.

· Handling cost negotiations with third parties.

· Preparing costs budgets and assisting with cost management processes.

· Providing advice on costs recovery and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

· Liaising with solicitors, clients, and external parties to ensure successful cost settlements.
