An excellent opportunity for a Finance Officer to join a Charity based in Salford on a part time basis. Our client is committed to making a positive difference for individuals within the community. 

The Role

As a Finance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial stability of the organisation while helping to promote its important mission. Your expertise in accountancy, particularly within the charity sector, will support our client's objectives

  • Support with day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in accordance with charity regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis and advice to the management team.

Experience 

  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the charity sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ideally part qualified with experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA  AAT)
