Successful, dynamic and rapidly growing international tech company are now looking to grow their finance function in the UK.
They are looking for a talented Qualified Financial Accountant to join their team based in Manchester. The role will offer plenty of autonomy with a flexible hybrid working environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliation, analytics, and reporting.
- Prepare and understand accounting entries, including cash management, accounts payable, prepaids, other receivables, accrued liabilities, revenue, and fixed assets.
- Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Prepare financial statements and handle ad hoc duties such as credit card reconciliations.
- Ad hoc tasks such as credit card transactions
Essential skills and requirements:
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified with relevant post qualification experience
- Experience in the tech sector desirable
- ERP Systems experience – Netsuite advantageous plus advanced Excel
- Proven experience in month-end close accounting activities
- Experience with VAT returns
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience working with external auditors
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Payroll experience and understanding of HMRC rules
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
