Financial Accountant

Manchester/Hybrid

£55-65k plus benefits

Successful, dynamic and rapidly growing international tech company are now looking to grow their finance function in the UK.

They are looking for a talented Qualified Financial Accountant to join their team based in Manchester. The role will offer plenty of autonomy with a flexible hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliation, analytics, and reporting.
  • Prepare and understand accounting entries, including cash management, accounts payable, prepaids, other receivables, accrued liabilities, revenue, and fixed assets.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Prepare financial statements and handle ad hoc duties such as credit card reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc tasks such as credit card transactions

Essential skills and requirements:

  • ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified with relevant post qualification experience 
  • Experience in the tech sector desirable
  • ERP Systems experience – Netsuite advantageous plus advanced Excel
  • Proven experience in month-end close accounting activities
  • Experience with VAT returns
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Experience working with external auditors
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Payroll experience and understanding of HMRC rules
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
